Andreas Widmann celebrates his roots and presents the finest and freshest products from the Swabian Alb. In the gourmet restaurant “Ursprung”, you can choose from a variety of menus – vegetarian, meat, or simply whatever suits your taste. At the inn, you can enjoy regional specialties such as Ostalb lamb and Swabian classics like Maultaschen and roast beef.
Zang area
Ursprung is located in Zang, a village in the state of Baden-Württemberg. With over 1500 hours of sunshine per year, this state proudly holds the German record. Popular excursion destinations in Baden-Württemberg include the beautiful university town of Tübingen with its medieval townscape and 16th-century castle. The city of Freiburg is known for its famous "Bächle", the narrow waterways in the alleys of the old town. Germany’s largest lake, Lake Constance, is also within convenient reach and extremely popular for hiking, sailing, and cycling.
Charming guesthouse
Ursprung is situated in a lovely guesthouse which is perfect for a family getaway. The characteristic inn offers modernly decorated hotel rooms, equipped with all the facilities you might need for a comfortable stay. You can also book one of the two luxury chalets, in case you’d like extra privacy and relaxation. The chalets have Wi-Fi and feature a private sauna, a rain shower, fireplace, and a wine cabinet.
